Meanwhile, his younger brother Ryan, 36, is beginning his 19th season playing for the Riverdogs and has just taken over as the head softball coach for the Royals. Ryan previously coached junior high baseball and basketball while in college, and has also served as an assistant coach for the Royals' football team.
