Boston College men's basketball transfer guard Akbar Waheed III has committed to play at St. Bonaventure. Waheed, a former four-star prospect from North Bethesda, Maryland, redshirted the 2025-26 season with the Eagles and will have four years of eligibility remaining with the Bonnies.

Why it matters

Waheed was a highly touted recruit coming out of high school, earning two-time All-Met honors at Georgetown Prep. His decision to transfer to St. Bonaventure provides the Bonnies with a talented young guard who could make an immediate impact in the Atlantic 10 Conference.
