He was 86 years old. Morgan was born in Baltimore, raised on Woodland Avenue, and attended St. Ambrose School and Calvert Hall College High School, where he later established a program to assist students with reading or written language learning disabilities.

Morgan's work in the insurance industry and his advocacy for dyslexic students left a lasting impact on the Baltimore community. As a general agent at Lincoln Financial, he rose to become the CEO of the company's Baltimore agency. After serving in the Army, Morgan joined Aetna and then Lincoln National Life, eventually becoming the chief executive officer of Lincoln Financial's Baltimore agency. He co-founded Heritage Financial Consultants in 1999 and retired in 2022. Morgan received several industry awards, including the George S. Robertson Award and the Helen C. Hottenbacher Memorial Service Award, and was inducted into the National General Agents and Managers Hall of Fame.
