Members of the Boston Police Department's Youth Violence Strike Force recovered a loaded 9mm Taurus G2C handgun with an obliterated serial number following a confrontation with a suspect in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston. The suspect, Delaune Hudson, 21, of Dorchester, was arrested and charged with multiple firearm-related offenses.

Officers with the Boston Police Department's Youth Violence Strike Force observed three individuals on the front steps of a building on Dudley Street in Roxbury on Thursday afternoon. As the officers approached, one of the males fled inside the building and attempted to run back in when the officers repositioned to the rear of the building. During the ensuing struggle, an officer felt a hard object in the male's waistband that was identified as a firearm. The officers were able to secure the weapon, which was found to be a loaded Taurus G2C 9mm handgun with the serial number obliterated.
