Kramer has extensive coaching experience at the high school and college levels, including time as an assistant at LLCC, as well as coaching roles at Champaign Central, Urbana University High School, and Calvary Academy in Springfield. He has also served in various other roles at his alma mater, Springfield High School, including as a freshman and JV football coach, college and student council advisor, co-advisor of the National Honor Society, chair of the Instructional Leadership Team, and a summer school administrator.
