The details
The 15-year-old suspect was part of the crew that robbed two men, ages 25 and 47, in the 400 block of West Erie Street in River North around 6 a.m. on March 17. The victims were standing on the street when a dark-colored vehicle pulled up, several men climbed out, produced firearms, and demanded their property at gunpoint. The offenders then fled northbound on Kingsbury Street. No injuries were reported. The 15-year-old is charged with two counts of armed robbery with a firearm, along with the previously charged 17-year-old. About 30 minutes before the Erie Street robbery, the crew confronted a man in the 1200 block of West Flournoy Street on the Near West Side, striking him in the head with a firearm and taking his wallet and phone.
