Florry, the Philly-bred septet and songwriting vehicle of bandleader Francie Medosch, are marking their territory as a band resolving to do something very different: they are having a really good time out there. Cutting her teeth in the Philadelphia DIY scene, Medosch has evolved Florry into a barn-burning seven-piece rock band, trafficking in a wider, more rock-oriented approach with the bravado of someone with a new lease on life.
Why We Like It
- Florry's sound has evolved from lo-fi bedroom recordings to a kinetic, rock-oriented approach that has earned critical acclaim.
- The band has built a freewheeling chemistry and energy through extensive touring, including runs with artists like Kurt Vile.
- Florry's second full-length album 'Sounds Like' blends raw honky-tonk grit and rich instrumental textures with the disarming sincerity of their lo-fi beginnings.
Who Should Attend
Fans of indie rock, alt-country, and DIY music scenes will enjoy Florry's energetic live performance and their blend of raw, emotional songwriting with a bigger, brighter sound.
