Fly By Night Productions: The Diary of Anne Frank
Five Flags Center
405 Main Street, Dubuque, IA 52001
Based on the original historic Anne Frank diary, published in 1947, the play tells the story of eight Jewish residents of a cramped annex in Amsterdam, Holland hiding from the Nazi occupiers during WWII from 1942-1944. Deriving its impassioned drama from Anne's words and recollections, the audience gets immersed in the joys and fears of day-to-day life when discovery means death.
