Wisconsin-based Milwaukee Tool, a more than 100-year-old tool manufacturer, is opening its first factory service center in Hawaii on Wednesday. The new $2 million, 14,000-square-foot facility in Waipio features a product showroom, six service workstations, warehouse space, and seven employees. Why it matters

Milwaukee Tool's new Hawaii location was driven by continued growth in the state, where company sales have tripled over the past four years, with more than half of that business coming from Oahu. The new service center expands Milwaukee Tool's nationwide network and is meant to offer greater access to repairs, warranty support and technical service for local workers and companies, improving turnaround times and reducing operational disruptions.
