The Kapaa High School surf team accumulated 19 points to win the first Kauai Interscholastic Federation Regional surf meet held at the Pine Trees break in Hanalei. The Island School team finished second with 9 points, followed by Waimea High School in third with 7 points, and Kauai High School rounding out the leaderboard.

Nearly 80 surfers from across Kauai's high schools competed in shortboard, longboard, and bodyboard events at the Pine Trees break. Kapaa's Elianna Grubbs led the way, finishing first in both the Girls Shortboard and Girls Bodyboard, and second in the Girls Longboard. Her teammate Addison Murphy also had a strong showing, placing first in Girls Longboard and second in Girls Shortboard and Girls Bodyboard. On the boys' side, Dillon Murphy of Island School won the Boys Shortboard and Boys Longboard divisions.
