Syracuse has received a commitment from Houston transfer offensive lineman David Ndukwe. Ndukwe, a Georgia native, played three seasons with the Cougars, including 11 games in 2024 and three games in 2023 before a season-ending knee injury in 2025. Prior to Houston, he spent three seasons at Western Kentucky.

Why it matters

Offensive line depth is crucial for any successful college football program, and Ndukwe's addition provides valuable experience and talent to the Syracuse front. The Orange are looking to build on a strong 2025 season and compete in the ACC, and Ndukwe's arrival should help solidify the offensive line.

The details

Ndukwe will have two years of eligibility remaining at Syracuse after playing just 25 snaps for Houston in 2025 due to a season-ending knee injury. He was a three-star recruit out of high school, with offers from several Group of Five programs including Akron, Chattanooga, and South Alabama.

  • Ndukwe announced his commitment to Syracuse on April 4, 2026.
