An Atlanta-based restaurateur named Mangesh Patel has announced plans to open a Beef 'O' Brady's family-style sports pub in Milledgeville, Georgia, as part of a larger expansion that will bring six new locations to central Georgia markets including Macon, Forsyth, Dublin, and Thomson over the next few years.
Why it matters
The arrival of a popular family-friendly sports pub chain like Beef 'O' Brady's in Milledgeville represents an opportunity to expand dining and entertainment options in the city, which could boost the local economy and provide a new gathering spot for residents and visitors alike.
The details
Patel, who has over 40 years of experience in the restaurant, construction, and hotel industries, became interested in Beef 'O' Brady's after his construction company, Karma Developers LLC, landed a contract to build one in Alabama. He was attracted to the simplicity of the menu and the family-friendly sports bar concept. The new Milledgeville location is expected to be around 6,000 square feet with seating for up to 250 patrons, similar to the other planned locations across central Georgia.
- Construction has already begun on the first Macon restaurant, located on Hartley Bridge Road near I-75, with the second planned for the Bass Road area in north Macon.
- The first Macon development will also feature a Huey Magoo's and is expected to open in the fall.
- The other Beef 'O' Brady sites are scheduled to roll out in the other markets over the next few years.
- Although a site has not yet been identified, Patel said he would like to open the Milledgeville restaurant sometime by the end of next year.
