Jasmine Barker and Tamari Spearman, two standout players for the Tennessee Lady Vols basketball team, were selected in the 2026 WNBA Draft. Barker was chosen 29th overall by the Las Vegas Aces, while Spearman was picked 31st overall by the Dallas Wings. This marks the 13th time Tennessee has had multiple players drafted in the same year, though it's the first time since 2018.

Why it matters

The Lady Vols are one of the most successful women's basketball programs in history, having produced numerous WNBA draft picks over the years. Barker and Spearman's selection continues that tradition and highlights the continued talent coming out of the Tennessee program under head coach Nikki Caldwell.

Barker, a 6-foot-4 forward, averaged a career-best 14.3 points and 6.6 rebounds per game in her lone season at Tennessee in 2025-26. She made 36 three-pointers at a 36.5% clip. Spearman, also a 6-4 forward, put up 10.2 points and 5.8 rebounds per game while starting 27 of 30 contests for the Lady Vols. She made a career-high 24 three-pointers.
