LC State Women's Golf Takes Seventh at Roadrunner Spring Invite

The No. 19 LC State Women's Golf team finished seventh overall at the Roadrunner Spring Invitational in Cohutta, Georgia, improving one spot in the final round. Sophomore Giulia Belfontali had the best round by a Warrior, firing a 1-over 73 to tie for 17th place individually in the 89-player field.
Why it matters
This tournament featured many highly-ranked NAIA women's golf programs, so a top-7 finish is a strong result for the Warriors as they prepare for the postseason. LC State was able to move ahead of two teams ranked above them heading into the event.
The details
As a team, LC State shot a 23-over 311 in the final round to climb past No. 9 Indiana Wesleyan and No. 18 Rocky Mountain (Mont.). Belfontali's 1-over 73 was the best individual round by a Warrior, helping her jump 20 spots on the leaderboard. Sophomore Jane Barry and junior Isabella Barquet also had strong final rounds to finish in the top 30 individually.
