USC has landed a major transfer in former Florida State center Pania Davis. The 6-foot-6 junior played her first season of Division I basketball in Tallahassee last season, averaging 7.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and one block per game. Prior to that, she was a standout at the junior college level, winning conference player of the year and earning NJCAA All-American honors.

Why it matters

Davis' commitment provides a significant boost to the Trojans' frontcourt, which lost several key players to the transfer portal. Her size, experience and production at the Division I and junior college levels make her a valuable addition as USC looks to rebuild its roster and compete in the Pac-12.

The details

Davis spent her first two seasons at New Mexico Junior College, where she averaged a double-double and earned conference player of the year and NJCAA All-American honors. She then transferred to Florida State for the 2025-26 season, starting 28 of 31 games and averaging 7.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and one block per game. Now, the Australian native is heading to USC, where she'll join a young Trojans frontcourt that includes forwards Laura Williams, Sitaya Fagan and Sara Okeke.
