According to investigators, a 2025 BMW X1 was initially fleeing from Sunrise Police Department when the officer lost sight of the vehicle near the roundabout/T-intersection of Nob Hill Road and Loxahatchee Road. The officer later found the BMW submerged in a nearby canal. Two occupants, Jerome Turner and Kelby Broward-Richardson, were located deceased in the canal by the BSO Dive Team later that evening.
