At this year's Seatrade Cruise Global event, Taiwan's booth is designed in the shape of the Chinese character for "door" or "gateway", symbolizing the country's role as a cruise gateway for Asia. TTA is promoting incentives for cruise lines, including subsidies of up to $15,000 per ship call for port stays over 12 hours and up to $7,500 for shorter calls. For fly-cruise development, TTA is offering incentives of up to $10 per international passenger arriving in Taiwan as part of a fly-cruise itinerary.
