Dolphins Hire Former Eagles OC Kevin Patullo as Pass Game Coordinator

Patullo will join new Dolphins coach Jeff Hafley's staff after being let go by the Eagles.

The Miami Dolphins have hired former Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo as their new pass game coordinator, according to a person familiar with the decision. Patullo was let go by the Eagles last month after a lackluster season calling plays. He'll now join new Dolphins coach Jeff Hafley's staff and return to the role he held before being promoted to Philadelphia's offensive coordinator in 2025.

Why it matters

The Dolphins are looking to improve their passing offense after finishing 25th in the league in passing yards per game last season. Patullo's experience as a pass game coordinator could help provide a boost to the Dolphins' aerial attack as they look to build around quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

The details

Patullo had been the Eagles' passing game coordinator since 2021, but when the Eagles lost offensive coordinator Kellen Moore after winning the Super Bowl in 2025 - Moore took the head coaching job in New Orleans - they turned to Patullo to maintain familiarity and continuity for quarterback Jalen Hurts, running back Saquon Barkley and receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. However, the in-house move did not pan out, as Philadelphia's offense seemed out of sync for much of the 2026 season, finishing 24th in total offense and 19th in scoring.
