Oklahoma has added Utah Valley guard Tyler Hendricks to its roster through the transfer portal. Hendricks, a 6-foot-6 sharpshooter, averaged 11.8 points per game and shot 44.8% from 3-point range for the Wolverines last season. He began his college career at UCF before transferring to Utah Valley for the 2025-26 campaign.

Why it matters

The addition of Hendricks provides a much-needed scoring punch for the Sooners, who lost several key players to the transfer portal this offseason. Head coach Porter Moser is looking to build on Oklahoma's success last season, and Hendricks' ability to stretch the floor and knock down perimeter shots will be a valuable asset.

The details

Hendricks, a 3-star recruit out of high school, spent his first two seasons at UCF before transferring to Utah Valley for the 2025-26 campaign. With the Wolverines, he started 28 games and averaged 11.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.2 steals, and 0.8 blocks per game. He shot an impressive 44.8% from 3-point range on 4.8 attempts per contest, and 49.2% overall from the field.
