The details
Daniels developed his 'Latin Deco' style after relocating from Toronto to New York City in 1978, drawing inspiration from the glamour of the Disco Era, the choreography of Busby Berkeley, and the exuberance of Carmen Miranda. In 1997, he moved to Miami Beach, expanding his practice through public art projects and commissions. The exhibition at JMOF-FIU features a selection of Daniels' work from 2009-2025.
