The Safe Pro NODE-X device, a next-generation AI-powered edge processor designed to rapidly analyze drone footage and provide critical battlefield intelligence.Aventura TodaySafe Pro Group Inc. has commenced the commercial rollout of its NODE-X, a next-generation miniaturized AI-powered edge compute processor for processing drone footage and enabling rapid AI threat detection, 3D mapping, and automated route guidance. NODE-X is designed as a backpack kit that includes real-time AI inference on a powerful edge compute server and ruggedized GPU laptops running Safe Pro's software, and is powered by the company's patented SPOTD technology.
Why it matters
The NODE-X solution provides soldiers and military commanders with critical battlefield situational awareness by rapidly processing drone imagery to detect threats and inform mission planning, making it an ideal solution for a variety of reconnaissance missions. This represents a significant advancement in the capabilities of AI-powered edge computing for defense applications.
The details
NODE-X is scheduled to participate in additional U.S. Army exercises through the second quarter of 2026 as Safe Pro Group builds momentum towards rapid expansion. The solution utilizes AI and machine learning algorithms trained on a large dataset of real-world imagery from Ukraine, including over 2.6 million drone images and 47,000 confirmed detections of small threats such as landmines, cluster munitions, unexploded ordnance, and ambush drones. NODE-X operates on the edge without the need for connectivity, incorporating AI-detected threats with the rapid generation of 3D models, orthomosaics, and digital surface models to support mission planning.
