According to the Brookfield Police Department, the crash happened around 2:00 p.m. on April 4th near the intersection of Whisconier Road and High Ridge Road. The Toyota Tacoma driver, who was traveling southbound, admitted to being distracted inside his vehicle and not paying attention, causing him to cross the double yellow line and collide with the Chevrolet Equinox that was making a left turn. Three people in the Chevy were transported to Danbury Hospital, but their injuries were not considered life-threatening. The Toyota driver was cited for driving without a license, failure to stay in his lane, and distracted driving.
