Bryant baseball alum Ryan Ward has been called up to the Los Angeles Dodgers and will join the team on Sunday afternoon in Colorado. Ward was drafted by the Dodgers in 2019 and has spent the last eight years working his way through the organization, earning Pacific Coast League MVP honors in 2025 after leading Minor League Baseball in several offensive categories.

The details
Ward, a native of Millbury, Mass., put together two of the greatest seasons in Bryant program history in 2018 and 2019 before being drafted by the Dodgers. In 2018, he hit .409 with a program-record 101 hits, 157 total bases, 22 doubles, eight home runs, 52 RBI and 51 runs scored, earning Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Co-National Freshman Player of the Year honors as well as Northeast Conference and New England Player and Rookie of the Year honors. He followed that up with 95 hits in 2019, becoming the only player in Bryant history with 90+ hits in multiple seasons.
