Sencie, a new restorative design and sleep health company, has launched a collaboration with The Bower Coronado hotel to integrate its "WellSense" design framework into guest rooms. The framework layers carefully choreographed sensory experiences like scent, sight, sound, touch, and materiality to create immersive sleep rituals that help guests feel rested and restored without adding friction to their stay.
Why it matters
With factors like jet lag, travel stress, unfamiliar environments, and digital over-connection impacting sleep quality for many travelers, hotels are increasingly looking to the guest room itself as a way to support deeper recovery beyond traditional amenities. Sencie's approach aims to make sleep and wellness a defining marker of the luxury travel experience.
The details
Sencie's first designed ritual, The Sleep Ritual Tray, centers on sleep wellbeing and includes a moonbeam pillow mist, luxe silk eye mask, phone sleep pouch, guided ritual cards, and sensory-rich packaging. The Bower Coronado will be the inaugural hospitality partner to debut the Sleep Ritual Tray, which is designed to integrate seamlessly across guest touchpoints. Sencie plans to introduce additional rituals aligned with key moments of the guest journey like arrival, pause, and departure.
- Sencie launched on February 17, 2026.

“Rest and sleep have become defining markers of luxury travel. What's been missing is a thoughtful way to translate that priority directly into the guest room. Sencie enables hotels to seamlessly integrate sleep and wellness rituals into the fabric of the stay, creating a restorative experience where guests feel genuinely cared for and every curated element is selected with clear intention and purpose.”
— Susie Harborth, Founder and CEO of Sencie (PRNewswire)
“We designed The Bower to feel calm from the moment you walk in. Service is personal, the design is intentional, and the room should help you sleep better than you do at home.
