What they’re saying
“After we beat Geneva County in our last game, we took our pads off for the last time, and I asked him if we could play together again, and he said most definitely. We always wanted to do that. Dylan and I used to play in the front yard and act like we were playing for a college team.”
— Dustin Owens
“We've always liked playing beside each other. We love each other to death, we'll fight for each other to death. It feels good because I'll have some family up there that I know, I'll always have a friend right beside me, and I'm glad we get to go. I love being with him.”
— Dylan Owens
“As soon as I got the call from my coach, Johnson, I immediately went to my parents and said, 'I'm gonna go visit this college. This is a great opportunity for me, I have no high school soccer, and it's great that they're giving me an offer to go play there even if there's not a team here at Slocomb High School.”
— Kimberly Martinez
“When you don't make something, it definitely defeats you a little. And I had to go home and take that in, and come back next year even stronger, and then I made it. But I never would've thought that I would be going to a 4 year to be in band. I just have no words.”
— Rylee Nix
