The University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) has named Morgan Hooe, a former two-time All-American setter and GNAC Player of the Year, as the new head coach of the Seawolves volleyball team. Hooe, 30, was promoted after spending the last three seasons as the top assistant to former head coach Stacie Meisner, who is now at Metro State in Denver. Hooe, the daughter of legendary Anchorage high school coach Virgil Hooe, was part of four straight NCAA Tournament teams at UAA from 2013 to 2016 and led the Seawolves to the national title match as a senior.
