The Big Breakfast Day

The Big Breakfast Day happens every February 27, and we count down to it every year. We love breakfast as much as the next person, but there’s something unique about this day. It honors a meal many consider the most important of the day. We think that’s pretty huge because it celebrates breakfast foods and snacks and encourages people to eat breakfast, something that many Americans and people from other nationalities skip for dietary reasons. We want to encourage everyone to start eating their breakfast again, and what better way to do that than by celebrating The Big Breakfast Day?

Sweden Finns Day

It’s Sweden Finns Day on February 24, and we’re giving Finnish-speaking Swedes a voice. This special day is all about honoring their language, culture, and position as a respected and beloved community within Sweden. Emigration between the two countries has a very long history, particularly in the northern border regions. However, a more considerable emigration occurred during World War II, when 70,000 young Finnish children were evacuated to Sweden. While around 15,000 are thought to have stayed, an unknown number returned as adults. Today, there are approximately 500,000 Finnish-speaking Swedes in the country.

Play More Cards Day

Play More Cards Day is on February 22, and we can’t wait. If you look back on some of the most fun times with close friends, we’re pretty sure it involved a card game at some point. We know we’ve had a ton of laughs when playing. It’s the best way to unwind, and a little healthy competition always spices things up. Besides being incredibly fun, card games also improve our focus, creativity, and decision-making. So, it’s always a good idea to indulge more often. Play More Cards Day is the perfect reason to make it happen.
