About Denise Korn
Denise Korn is a content writer, editor, and creative director whose career has merged the art of brand storytelling with a lifelong commitment to community and equity. A Cornell University BFA graduate (Photography, 1987), Korn spent more than 25 years as the founding principal of Korn Design, a nationally recognized brand strategy and design firm that shaped the visual and editorial identities of some of the most celebrated names in hospitality, real estate, and culture — including Four Seasons Private Residences, Boston Ballet, The Mayflower Washington D.C., and Northeastern University.
Her editorial work for National Today — ensuring other writers’ content met high standards of grammar, clarity, and consistency with the platform’s daily calendar guidelines — reflects the same precision she has brought to brand communications throughout her career. Whether editing a hotel launch campaign or a holiday feature, Korn applies a designer’s attention to the interplay between words, structure, and audience experience.
Most recently, Korn served as Creative Director for Lifestyle Brand at Gensler, the world’s largest architecture and design firm, before founding Yellow& Partners, a Boston-based creative consultancy focused on design and social impact. She has been recognized as an AIGA Fellow (2012), a Boston Business Journal Leader in Diversity (2015), and co-author of 10 Who Mentor (2010). She also founded Youth Design, a nonprofit she ran for 15 years to foster career pathways for urban students in the creative economy.
At National Today, Korn brings the editorial rigor and creative sensibility of a career spent making ideas legible, resonant, and worth remembering. Her background as a speaker, mentor, and activist adds a dimension of purpose to her content work that reflects a genuine belief in the power of words to shape how we see the world.
