Saratoga's Public Works Director Emery Penner recently presented the Town Council with updates on a variety of ongoing infrastructure projects, including improvements to Never Forget Park, work on Kathy Glode Park, pothole repairs, water valve replacements, and the installation of new gateway signs.
Why it matters
These projects aim to enhance the town's public spaces, improve utility reliability, and create a more welcoming entrance for residents and visitors to Saratoga. The updates demonstrate the town's commitment to maintaining and upgrading its infrastructure to better serve the community.
The details
Penner announced plans to install restrooms, curbs, and an irrigation system at Never Forget Park, the town's military and first responder memorial. At Kathy Glode Park, the local power company will move a power pole out of the parking area. Crews will also work to fill potholes around town and address wear and tear on Saratoga Lake Road. Ongoing water valve replacements under West Elm Avenue will require tunneling beneath Highway 130. The West Bench Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project, led by Rocky Mountain Sand and Gravel, has been suspended for the winter but will resume at a later date. Finally, the town has installed new 12-foot-wide gateway signs at the north and south entrances, with plans for additional wayfinding and informational signage throughout the community.
- The park improvements and utility work are scheduled to begin once the weather warms up this spring.
- Pothole repairs and road maintenance will take place this summer.
- The West Bench Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project will resume construction at an unspecified date after the winter season.
