The CAWV's scholarship program celebrates the next generation of West Virginia's construction and engineering leaders.Charleston TodayThe Contractors Association of West Virginia Scholarship Foundation has awarded $38,000 in scholarships to nine outstanding West Virginia students pursuing degrees in construction and engineering. The top scholarship of $8,000 went to Nicholas Rogers, a civil engineering student at Marshall University and decorated U.S. Army veteran.

In addition to Rogers' top $8,000 award, the CAWV Foundation also granted $30,000 in scholarships to eight other students from West Virginia University, West Virginia University Institute of Technology, West Virginia State University, Fairmont State University, and Marshall University. Several of the scholarships, including the Mattingly Family Scholarship and the Ron and Linda Spradling Benchmark Construction Scholarship, were awarded for the first time this year.
