Japanese Workshops for Kids Offered at Menomonie Library

The Menomonie Public Library is hosting a series of four hands-on workshops for kids ages 7-12 led by Keiko Morikawa, the UW-Stout Japan Outreach Initiative Coordinator. The workshops will highlight Japanese traditions and crafts.
Why it matters
The workshops provide a unique opportunity for local children to learn about and engage with Japanese culture through interactive activities. This aligns with the library's mission to offer educational and enrichment programming for the community.
The details
Each workshop will run from 4-5:30pm and cover different aspects of Japanese culture, such as traditional crafts. The workshops are free and open to kids ages 7-12.
- The first workshop will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026.
- Additional workshops are scheduled for Tuesday, March 31, Thursday, April 30, and Thursday, May 28, 2026.
