High school track and field athletes from several area schools competed at the La Crosse Track Invitational on Thursday. Otis-Bison's Gavin Alloway won gold medals in the long jump and triple jump, while St. John's Braxton Alpers was the runner-up in the triple jump. Other standout performances came from St. John's Jericho Mawhirter in the 100m and Central Plains' Taylin Davis in the 3,200m.

St. John's Braxton Alpers was the runner-up in the triple jump at 43-8.5. Tiger Jericho Mawhirter of St. John placed second in the 100m with a time of 11.88 seconds. In the girls' events, Central Plains' Taylin Davis finished second in the 3,200m with a time of 12:49.5, and Otis-Bison's Caitlyn Ficken was the runner-up in the high jump at 4-8.
