US Mobile, a wireless provider that can access multiple cellular networks, has announced a new partnership with Starlink to offer bundled wireless and home internet services. The bundles combine US Mobile's unlimited mobile data plans with Starlink's satellite-based residential internet service, allowing customers to get both services through a single monthly bill from US Mobile.

Why it matters

This deal gives US Mobile a foothold in the home internet market without relying on the infrastructure of the major telecom providers. It also provides customers with more flexibility by allowing them to choose the cellular network that works best in their area while also getting high-speed home internet from Starlink's satellite network.

The details

The new US Mobile Starlink bundles offer three tiers that pair US Mobile's Unlimited Starter or Unlimited Premium mobile plans with Starlink's 100 Mbps, 200 Mbps, or 400 Mbps residential internet speeds. Pricing starts at $47 per month for the 100 Mbps plan and goes up to $117 per month for the 400 Mbps plan. The $349 fee for Starlink equipment is waived for new customers. Existing US Mobile customers can add Starlink home service for an additional $30 to $100 per month depending on the speed tier.

What they’re saying

“The same unification layer that lets us hand a line off between three terrestrial networks is the layer that now lets us hand a session off between terrestrial and celestial.”

— Ahmed Khattak, CEO, US Mobile

What’s next

The US Mobile Starlink bundles are currently not available in all areas, including Seattle, Washington. Customers will need to check availability for their specific address. Existing Starlink customers may need to cancel their current service and return the hardware to take advantage of the US Mobile bundle deal.

This partnership between US Mobile and Starlink represents an innovative approach to providing customers with a seamless combination of mobile and home internet services, leveraging the strengths of both cellular and satellite-based technologies. It highlights the ongoing evolution of the telecommunications industry as providers seek to offer more comprehensive and flexible connectivity solutions.
