West Seattle's "Art of Music" series ends after 6-year run

The community music performances that complemented the Second Thursday Art Walk will no longer continue.

After a 6-year run, the "Art of Music" performance series in West Seattle's Alaska Junction, Morgan Junction, and Admiral District neighborhoods has come to an end. The series, which was inaugurated in 2019 with the support of the West Seattle Junction Association, featured live music performances to complement the Second Thursday Art Walk events. The final Art of Music performances were held in December 2025.

The Art of Music series was launched in 2019 by then-West Seattle Junction Association Executive Director Lora Radford. From 2019 through 2025 (with a pause in 2020), the series featured live music performances that complemented the Second Thursday Art Walk events in the Alaska Junction, Morgan Junction, and Admiral District neighborhoods. In addition, the Art of Music co-presented the annual Muse Fest: The Power of Women's Voices music festival from 2022 to 2025.
