The Ilwaco Fishermen baseball team defeated their counterparts from Astoria 11-4 in a non-league game, rallying for six runs in the fourth inning to take control of the game. Ilwaco improved to 7-0 on the season, while Astoria fell to 1-6.

The details
After a pitcher's duel through the first four innings, Ilwaco broke through with a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the fourth on a Keyton Fisher RBI single. They then added two more runs on a Sawyer Linquist RBI double and a Braeden Vandermeulen RBI single. Linquist then scored on a passed ball, and Tyler West added an RBI single to make it 5-0 Ilwaco before Astoria made a pitching change. Ilwaco capped the big inning with a Dylan Pelas RBI double. Astoria answered with four runs in the top of the sixth to make it 6-4, but Ilwaco responded with five more runs in the bottom half to pull away for the 11-4 victory.
