On Friday afternoon, deputies with the Whitman County Sheriff's Office assisted the Washington State Patrol in locating a motorcycle that had fled from troopers near Colfax during a traffic stop attempt. After a pursuit, the motorcyclist, identified as 19-year-old Logan McIntosh of Airway Heights, attempted to hide on a property just north of Spangle. A citizen confronted McIntosh and was able to detain him until deputies arrived and took him into custody without incident.

Dispatchers then received multiple 911 calls reporting that a citizen had seen the motorcyclist hide on a property just north of Spangle after fleeing from law enforcement. The citizen confronted McIntosh, who attempted to leave, but the citizen was able to detain him until deputies arrived.
