Castle Rock boys wrestling continued its dominant run in the sport, winning its 26th-straight district championship at the WIAA District 4 1A Trico League boys wrestling tournament on Saturday. The Rockets placed first with a team score of 349, 81 more than La Center in second place. Castle Rock had 18 wrestlers advance to the WIAA state tournament, including four champions and several other placers.

At the district tournament, Castle Rock had four champions - Cooper Williams (138 lbs), Nolen Nelson (157), Braden Swihart (175 lbs) and Mason Darvell (190) - as well as five wrestlers finish in second place, five in third and four in fourth place. The top four placers in each weight class advanced to the WIAA state tournament. Castle Rock coach Kyle Godinho was impressed by the performance of his underclassmen, with 10 of them advancing to state including several freshmen and sophomores.
