It began with over 60 rounds being fired at a home near the Bridgeport Bar wildlife refuge area, followed by a report of a truck on fire in the parking lot of a nearby convenience store. A few hours later, another home in the same area was struck by at least 10 bullets, including one that entered a child's bedroom.

Around 1:47 AM, a home near the Bridgeport Bar area was shot at by an unknown number of suspects, who fled the scene before deputies arrived. At least 60 shell casings from various caliber guns were found at the scene, but no injuries were reported. Shortly after, at 1:56 AM, a report came in of a truck fully engulfed in flames in the parking lot of the Bridgeport Quick Mart, a few miles south of the initial shooting. The truck matched descriptions of the vehicle from the Bridgeport Bar shooting. Then, around 4:32 AM, another home in the same general area was struck by at least 10 bullets, including one that entered a child's bedroom, though no injuries were reported.
