An invite to a party with a Pink Pony Club theme and a promise to be in bed by 10 p.m. was a recipe for a quick RSVP for Cynthea Rose Hatfield, one of dozens who showed up to the inaugural dance party for the Golden Hour Social Club, an up-and-coming group committed to throwing high-energy social gatherings for party people over 30 throughout Vermont. Longtime DJ Talena Companion launched the social club this year to give her fellow millennials and beyond a place for everyone, couples and singles, to come together and meet new faces.
Why it matters
Between a long season of winter blues and fewer venues for folks her age to sway and spin, the Golden Hour Social Club is providing a much-needed outlet for Vermonters over 30 to socialize, meet new people, and have fun in a community setting.
The details
The inaugural Golden Hour Social Club dance party was held at the Delta Hotel in Burlington, Vermont, which was more than happy to play host. Companion said there will be more events planned ahead, and encouraged people to reach out if they want to get involved. Hatfield, who attended the first event, said she's excited to bring more of her friends to future gatherings.
- The inaugural Golden Hour Social Club dance party was held in March 2026.
- Another Golden Hour Social Club event is planned for April 24, 2026 at the Delta Hotel in Burlington.
