William and Mary's baseball team (11-12, 3-3 CAA) secured a weekend series victory against Coastal Athletic Association rival North Carolina Agricultural and Technical (5-18, 2-7 CAA) with a 6-5 win on Saturday, March 21 at Pulmeri Park in Williamsburg, Virginia. The Tribe took advantage of the Aggies' mistakes, capitalizing on errors and wild pitches to overcome a 3-1 deficit and pull ahead late in the game.
Why it matters
This series victory helps the Tribe get back to a .500 record in conference play and builds momentum as they prepare to face another CAA opponent, UNC Wilmington, in their next series. However, the Tribe capitalized on wild pitches and errors by the Aggies to score four unanswered runs in the sixth and seventh innings and take a 6-4 lead. NC A&T cut the deficit to one run with a home run in the eighth, but the Tribe held on for the 6-5 victory.

— Jett Humphreys, Freshman pitcher and infielder
“I don't really feel any way towards it, and it's kind of a weird thing, I never really have. I just rely on what I've been doing my entire life and fill up the zone and see what they can do with it.”
