The Virginia Tech Hokies softball team is hosting the Hokie Invite tournament this weekend in Salem, Va. The No. 11/11 Hokies will face off against Bryant, Michigan, Penn State, JMU, and Boston College in their fifth and final pre-conference tournament of the 2026 season.
Why it matters
The Hokie Invite will be the last tune-up for Virginia Tech before they begin ACC conference play later in March. The Hokies have had a strong start to the season, going 16-2 so far, and will look to continue that momentum heading into the heart of their schedule.

The Hokies have already competed in four non-conference tournaments this season, including the Gamecock Invitational, Queen City Classic, Georgia Classic, and Jane B. Moore Invitational.
