The 30-year-old Orange, N.J. native and Virginia Tech product originally cracked into the league as an undrafted free agent with the Packers in 2019. He made 22 starts in 67 appearances over his five seasons in Green Bay before signing a two-year deal with the Panthers ahead of the 2024 season. Nijman made seven starts over 32 games for Carolina through 2025, and filled in for an injured Ikem Ekwonu at left tackle for most of the team's wild-card round game against the Los Angeles Rams in January.
