Seawolves unable to overcome early deficit against Bobcats

The Stony Brook softball team fell 7-2 to Quinnipiac in a midday matchup on day two of the Battle at the Bay tournament. The Bobcats jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first inning, but the Seawolves were able to get one run back in the bottom half. Stony Brook pitcher Aubrey Jepson settled in and retired 12 straight batters, but Quinnipiac broke the game open with a 5-run sixth inning to take a 7-2 lead that they would hold on to for the victory.
