Justin Allgaier, driving for JR Motorsports, won the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series race at Martinsville Speedway on Saturday. Allgaier started from the pole position and was able to capitalize on late-race chaos to claim his third victory of the season and the 32nd of his career. Hendrick Motorsports development driver Corey Day finished second, while Sammy Smith and Sheldon Creed rounded out the top four.

Why it matters

Allgaier's victory continues his climb up the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series record books, solidifying his status as one of the series' top veterans. The race also featured the series debut of short track ace Lee Pulliam, who led late before a late-race incident ended his day.

The details

Allgaier led much of the race from the pole position, but found himself trailing Pulliam late. However, Pulliam missed a shift on a late-race restart, triggering a multi-car crash that took out several contenders. Allgaier was able to avoid the chaos and cruise to the victory, his third of the 2026 season.
