Virginia State Police are investigating a crash that occurred on Monday, February 23, 2026 at 6:50 p.m. on Thomas Nelson Highway (Route 29) in Nelson County. A 2014 Honda Accord was driving northbound when it was unable to avoid a 2017 Jayco Senaca recreational vehicle that was using the crossover to go from southbound Route 29 to northbound Route 29, causing the Accord to become wedged underneath the RV.
