U.S. Transactions Corp. (UST) and CereTax, Inc. have announced a partnership that integrates USTPay™, UST's payment processing solution, with CereTax's automated sales tax compliance engine directly within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. The integration allows Business Central users to handle payments and tax calculations simultaneously without leaving the ERP platform, eliminating manual reconciliation and replacing legacy tax systems.
Why it matters
This partnership addresses a common pain point for growing businesses using Business Central - the need to manage multiple disconnected systems for payments, tax compliance, and accounting. By embedding these capabilities natively, the integration reduces errors, improves efficiency, and provides a more seamless user experience within the ERP.
The details
The USTPay™ and CereTax integration allows Business Central users to process payments and calculate sales tax in real-time, all within the ERP interface. USTPay™ supports major card networks like Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and ACH, while CereTax's API-driven tax engine replaces legacy platforms like Avalara with transparent calculation logic and audit-ready compliance. The two systems share data natively, eliminating the need for manual reconciliation between separate platforms.
- The partnership was announced on April 1, 2026.
The players
U.S. Transactions Corp. (UST)
A Leesburg, VA-based financial services company that provides the USTPay™ payment processing and ACH solution built natively for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
CereTax, Inc.
A company headquartered in Alpharetta, GA that provides a modern indirect tax automation platform as an alternative to legacy tax engines like Avalara.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
An enterprise resource planning (ERP) software solution developed by Microsoft for small and medium-sized businesses.
What they’re saying
“We built USTPay™ to feel like it was always part of Business Central, not bolted on. CereTax shares that same philosophy around how software should work inside an ERP. That alignment made this partnership a straightforward decision.”
— Kate Coffey-Bacon, SVP of Marketing and Strategy at U.S. Transactions Corporation
“Business Central users shouldn't have to choose between overpaying for a legacy tax engine and duct-taping something together themselves. We built CereTax as the modern alternative to legacy tax systems like Avalara, with accurate calculations, transparent logic, and no black boxes. Pairing that with USTPay™ gives customers tax and payments handled in the same place they're already working, without the overhead or the drama.”
— Mike Sanders, CEO and Co-Founder, CereTax
What’s next
Both the USTPay™ and CereTax solutions are now available on the Microsoft AppSource marketplace, making it easy for Business Central customers to discover and implement the integrated payment and tax automation capabilities.
The takeaway
This partnership demonstrates how leading software providers are working to streamline core business functions like payments and tax compliance directly within the ERP systems that small and medium-sized companies rely on. By embedding these capabilities natively, the integration reduces complexity, improves efficiency, and provides a more seamless user experience.
