Carbon High spring sports get started with soccer on March 2

The Carbon Dino boys' soccer team will kick off the spring sports season on March 2 against Salem Hills. Other Carbon High spring sports including baseball, boys volleyball and tennis, softball, girls golf, and track and field will follow in the coming months as the school year heads into its final stretch.

The boys' soccer team finished 12-4 overall last season and will face Salem Hills twice during the upcoming season. The baseball team, which ended last year 10-15, will open their season on March 5 with a doubleheader. The Lady Dinos golf team looks to build on their 10th place state finish, while the boys volleyball squad aims to improve on their quarterfinal loss from a year ago. The track and field teams are coming off strong showings, with the Lady Dinos capturing three state titles. And the boys tennis team and Lady Dinos softball will round out the spring sports schedule.
