Park City Municipal is moving forward with transportation upgrades in the Park Meadows neighborhood, including a new 12-foot multi-use path along Little Kate Road, bus stop improvements, and traffic calming measures on Holiday Ranch Loop Road. The city will host a public meeting to gather feedback from residents and regular corridor users before finalizing the designs.
Why it matters
The project aims to improve safety and accessibility for pedestrians, cyclists, and transit riders in the Park Meadows area. Currently, the lack of consistent bike lanes along Little Kate Road has led some residents to ride on the sidewalk to avoid vehicle conflicts.
The details
The centerpiece of the project is a planned 12-foot multi-use path on the north side of Little Kate Road. The city would also improve bus stops along Little Kate and Lucky John drives, and upgrade the segment of Lucky John Drive between its intersection with Little Kate and the McPolin Elementary School trail connection to include a multi-use path. Traffic calming measures are planned for Holiday Ranch Loop Road. The improvements are funded through a mix of federal, state, county, and local dollars.
- The public meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
The players
Park City Municipal
The local government of Park City, Utah, responsible for the transportation upgrades in the Park Meadows neighborhood.
McPolin Elementary School
A school located in the Park Meadows area that will benefit from the improved multi-use path connection.
What’s next
Following the public meeting, the city will finalize the designs for the transportation upgrades in Park Meadows.
The takeaway
The proposed improvements in Park Meadows aim to enhance safety and accessibility for pedestrians, cyclists, and transit riders, addressing concerns about the lack of consistent bike lanes and the need for better connections to schools and community facilities.
