Park City High School and UVU Expand Concurrent Enrollment Offerings

New online courses from UVU available to PCHS students for 2026-27 school year

Utah Valley University (UVU) will offer a selection of online concurrent enrollment (CE) courses to Park City High School (PCHS) students for the 2026-27 school year, in addition to the existing in-person CE courses taught at the high school. These online UVU courses are independent of PCHS classes, taught by UVU instructors, and follow UVU's schedule and deadlines. Students will receive high school credit for successfully completing the UVU CE online courses.

Why it matters

The expansion of online CE options provides PCHS students with more flexibility and choice in earning college credits while still in high school. This can help students get a head start on their college education and save on future tuition costs. The partnership between PCHS and UVU also highlights the growing trend of high schools collaborating with local universities to offer advanced academic opportunities.

The details

The UVU CE online courses are 100% online and available on a first-come, first-serve basis with limited class sizes. Students are responsible for the coursework and tests, and the courses will not be monitored by PCHS faculty. A 3-credit UVU course equals 1.0 high school credit, and students must request that UVU send their official transcript to PCHS to receive the credit.
