On Friday, they faced the Manti Templars on the road in a region game, falling 2-1. On Saturday, they traveled to Richfield to take part in a one-day tournament, finishing 1-2 for the day.

The Lady Spartans are currently 2-9 overall and 1-1 in Region 13 play. The first rankings from MaxPreps and the Utah High School Activities Association will be released on Friday, April 3, so these games were important for the team's standing and playoff hopes.
The details
Against Manti, the Lady Spartans collected more hits than the Templars but struggled to get them across the plate, putting up just one run in the third inning. Manti added runs in the sixth and seventh innings to earn the 2-1 win. In the tournament, Emery lost 9-4 to host Richfield but then defeated Parowan 15-13 in their only win of the weekend. The final game against San Juan ended in a 16-0 loss for the Lady Spartans in four innings.
